The National Assembly of Artsakh made a statement on the
\nappropriate enforcement measures to be taken by the U.N. to establish peace in
\nArtsakh.<\/p>\n
“The Russian peacekeeping troops based in Artsakh do
\nnot hold an international mandate. This very fact gives Azerbaijan a green
\nlight to violate the provisions of the Tripartite statements, the norms and
\nprinciples of the international law, and to constantly threaten the security
\nand stability in the region,” reads the statement.<\/p>\n
Artsakh NA called on the Republic of Armenia to take
\nimmediate measures to apply to the U.N. Security Council and the U.N. General
\nAssembly under the established procedure, so that they will give an
\ninternational mandate to the peacekeeping contingent based in Artsakh, for them
\nto take appropriate measures to ensure peace and stability in the region.<\/p>\n\n
Artsakh NA also called on the international community to
\nadhere to the purposes and principles established in Chapter 1 of the U.N.
\nCharter, and to adopt an imperative decision, that is resolution, to take
\neffective enforcement measures to establish peace in Artsakh, under the
\nprocedure established by Chapter 7 of the U.N. Charter.
