The mandate of EU Special Representative for the South
\nCaucasus and the crisis in Georgia Toivo Klaar is extended.<\/p>\n
Klaar’s mandate is extended for one year, until Aug. 31,
\n2024.<\/p>\n\n
He was appointed EUSR for the South Caucasus and the crisis
\nin Georgia on Nov. 13, 2017. His task is to contribute to a peaceful settlement
\nof conflicts in the region, as well as to encourage regional cooperation
\nbetween Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Georgia and, as appropriate, their neighboring
\ncountries.
