Turkey has signed a contract with the United Kingdom to purchase 20 Eurofighter Typhoon fighter jets, with the deal valued at £8 billion ($10.7 billion), according to a statement<\/a> from the office of British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.<\/p>\n

This is the first contract for the sale of UK-made fighter jets since 2017 and the largest in the past 20 years.<\/p>\n

Downing Street clarified that the deal will support the creation of 20,000 jobs in the UK.<\/p>\n
