The President of the National Assembly of the Republic of
\nArtsakh Artur Tovmasyan drew the attention of the international community and
\nintergovernmental organizations to the acts of excessive violence and major
\ncrimes against humanity committed by Azerbaijan.
<\/p><\/p>\n
“We call on the international intergovernmental
\norganizations in charge to launch the process of international recognition of
\nthe Republic of Artsakh, that being the most efficient way to prevent the
\ngenocide and forced displacement of our people from their homeland,” reads
\nTovmasyan’s statement.<\/p>\n
Artsakh NA President called for the establishment of a
\nspecial criminal tribunal for the Azerbaijani authorities on the crime of
\ncreating a modern-day concentration camp in the territory of the Republic of
\nArtsakh and causing persistent extermination of the indigenous population of
\nNagorno-Karabakh.<\/p>\n
He is full of hope that the message of the Supreme Body,
\nelected by the people of Artsakh, will not go unanswered. And the only way to
\ntackle the above-mentioned problems is the recognition of the independence of
\nthe Republic of Artsakh, based on the concept of “recognition for
\nsalvation”.
