U.S. President Donald Trump has said that the United States possesses the world’s largest nuclear arsenal — enough to destroy the planet 150 times. He made the remarks in an interview with CBS News<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“Well, we have more nuclear weapons than any other country. Russia is second; China is a distant third, but in five years they’ll catch up… We have enough nuclear weapons to blow up the world 150 times. Russia has a lot of nuclear weapons, and China will have a lot too,” Trump said.<\/p>\n

At the same time, he emphasized the importance of discussions with the leaders of Russia and China regarding denuclearization.<\/p>\n

Trump also defended his decision to resume nuclear testing.<\/p>\n

“Well, because you have to see how they [the nuclear components] work. You know, you do have to– and the reason I’m saying– testing is because Russia announced that they were gonna be doing a test. If you notice, North Korea’s testing constantly. Other countries are testing.
