People staged a protest action in front of the U.N. office
\nin Armenia. The aim of the protest was to draw the attention of the
\ninternational organization to the developments in Artsakh. Their mere demand
\nwas to open the Lachin corridor.

Former Human Rights Defender (Ombudsman) Larisa Alaverdyan
\ntook part in the action as well.
<\/p><\/p>\n
“Article 35 of the U.N. Charter provides that a state
\nwhich is not a member of the United Nations may appeal to the U.N. in case of a
\nthreat,” Larisa Alaverdyan said.
<\/p><\/p>\n
As Alaverdyan noted, not only the U.N. but also UNICEF must
\nrespond to the current situation.
<\/p><\/p>\n
“Where are they now? Aren’t the 30,000 children
\nfrom Artsakh children?” Alaverdyan noted.

Children from Artsakh also took part in the protest.
