The statement released by the Azerbaijani Ministry of
\nDefense that pertinent units of Artsakh’s Defense Army regularly suppress the
\nGPS positioning systems of civil aircraft flying through the airspace of
\nArtsakh, posing a serious threat to the safety of flights, is an absolute
\nfalsehood.

The Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan states that the last
\nsimilar incident allegedly occurred on July 13, when due to radio suppression
\nby the Defense Army, the GPS positioning systems of aircraft flying on the
\nZangilan-Fizuli route at 11:54-12:07 and on the Fizuli-Baku route at
\n13:02-13:17 were disrupted. In reality, aircraft flying on the mentioned routes
\ndo not need to cross the contact line, therefore they cannot be affected by
\nDefense Army’s radio suppression system.

Needless to say that throughout the hostilities in 2020 and
\nthereafter, it is the Azerbaijani side that consistently targets the civil
\ninfrastructure of the Republic of Artsakh, blocking the Lachin Corridor,
\ndisrupting gas and electricity supply lines and suppressing the internet and
\ncellular signals.
