A man in China was fired after his employer discovered that, while on sick leave due to foot pain, he had walked more than 16,000 steps a day, news.ru<\/a> writes.<\/p>\n

The employee had already been on sick leave for about a month because of back pain. Later, after working half a day, he again applied for sick leave — this time citing foot pain.<\/p>\n

That same day, however, he walked about 12 kilometers, which the company found out through a step-counting app. Moreover, the company also had video footage showing the employee running in the office.<\/p>\n
