Former French President Nicolas Sarkozy will be released from prison but will remain under supervision. The Paris Court of Appeal ruled that Sarkozy’s pre-trial detention was unjustified, LCI reports.<\/p>\n
Earlier, it was reported that the French prosecutor’s office had proposed releasing Sarkozy — who was sentenced to five years in prison for illegal campaign financing — from prison.<\/p>\n
As noted, prosecutors suggested freeing him on the condition that he be prohibited from contacting other individuals involved in the case.<\/p>\n
