The participants of the nationwide movement in Artsakh
\ngathered near the places of deployment of the peacekeeping troops of the Russian
\nFederation. Artsakh State Minister Gurgen Nersisyan made a statement. “We
\nare here now and want to present our just and reasonable demand to the Russia
\npeacekeeping forces. Our demand is pretty clear, namely the unblocking of the
\nroad connecting us with Armenia and the protection of the intelligent and
\neducated genes of the Armenian people.”<\/p>\n
As the state minister noted, their aim is to inform the
\nRussian peacekeepers that the chief beneficiary of the tripartite statement of
\nNovember 9, 2020, is the people of Artsakh.<\/p>\n
“If one of the parties of the tripartite statement refuses
\nto take on its responsibilities, people of Artsakh don’t have to bear all the
\nsevere consequences followed by that. We have gathered here to let you know on
\nbehalf of thousands of our brothers and sisters that it is not nice to see
\nhelicopters fly in the sky every day while Artsakh is in blockade,” noted
\nNersisyan.<\/p>\n
The state minister noted that he would meet with some of the
\ncommanders of the Russian peacekeeping troops and promised that further updates
\nwould follow the meeting.<\/p>\n
In response to the state minister’s call, the residents of
\nAskeran region put up tents near the places of deployment of the Russian
\npeacekeeping troops.<\/p>\n
“We will wait until our demands are met,” the state minister
\nnoted. <\/p>\n\n
A decision was made to continue the rally in Stepanakert’s
\nRevival Square after the meeting, in order to announce their future actions and
\nthe details of the meeting with the command of the Russian peacekeeping troops.
