Nationwide uprising actions started this morning in
\nStepanakert’s Revival Square. Artsakh Minister of State Gurgen Nersisyan
\nannounced about the actions last night.<\/p>\n
Today, during the rally, the Artsakh state minister
\nconfirmed that the movement will last indefinitely.<\/p>\n
The rally started with Father Nerses Asryan’s speech.<\/p>\n
“We will never have another Artsakh, nothing can replace our
\nhomeland, just like tomorrow nothing can replace Syunik, Tavush, Gegharkunik,
\nYerevan and Armenia… They want to eliminate us as a race,” he said.<\/p>\n
Artsakh Human Rights Defender Gegham Stepanyan also gave a
\nspeech. Addressing the international community, Gegham Stepanyan emphasized
\nthat it is one thing to talk about human rights, and another thing to put them
\ninto practice.<\/p>\n
“While you are merely expressing concerns, 120,000 people in
\nArtsakh are being subjected to inhumane deprivation,” Stepanyan said.
<\/p><\/p>\n
State Minister Gurgen Nersisyan, addressing the people of
\nArtsakh, stressed: “We have no Artsakh we could give up or leave. Living in
\nArtsakh is not a right, but a duty. This is written and unwritten law, this is
\nan oath and a responsibility.”<\/p>\n
The state minister of also said that they had high hopes
\nthat the international community, the Russian Federation and the Republic of
\nArmenia would take steps to resolve the situation, but it turned out that everyone
\nacted as mere observers.<\/p>\n
At Nersisyan’s call, the participants of the movement
\nmarched to the Stepanakert office of the International Committee of the Red
\nCross, where they demanded that the international organizations provide the
\nobjective reality about the situation in Artsakh.
