Azerbaijan and the rest of the world want to turn Artsakh
\ninto an altar on which the lives of our compatriots and children are laid.
\nArtsakh State Minister Gurgen Nersisyan said this during the rally in Artsakh. <\/p>\n
“It has been about a month that Artsakh survives on its
\ndomestic resources. During this time, we have been trying our best to make the
\nimpact of these devastating consequences of the blockade on the people of
\nArtsakh as small as possible. We had hopes that the international community,
\nthe Russian Federation and the Republic of Armenia would take steps to stop
\nthis course leading to annihilation, but it turned out that they are mere
\nobservers watching us from afar,” the State Minister said. <\/p>\n
As he stated, after Dec. 12, 2022, the people of Artsakh
\nwere faced with malnourishment. While the children, elderly, people with
\ncritical health issues were forced to go through severe difficulties, since
\nJune 15, 2023, the people of Artsakh at large are facing an existential threat. <\/p>\n
The situation today is critical. And tomorrow promises to be
\nfar more devastating and full of hardships. Many health issues have already
\nemerged today. In a number of regions, drinking water supplies are being cut
\noff. <\/p>\n
“Residents of rural areas, being far from the capital, have
\nbecome captives. For many of them, phone calls are the only channel of
\ncommunication with district centers and the capital. Residents of the villages
\nof Shushi region are held hostage. Intercommunity public transport services
\nfirst started to operate partially and now are being suspended. Children are
\nhardly fed in kindergartens, hospital patients are given meager amounts of
\nfood. In a few days, ambulance services will be suspended. People will face
\nproblems regarding first-aid kit supplies and medical care. And now I would
\nlike to address a question to the international community, the Republic of
\nArmenia and the Russian Federation. What else do you need? What are you waiting
\nfor? Are you going to respond to all of this after this square is filled with
\ncorpses every day? Do you want to see new cases of children’s death, like the
\none recorded days ago? I’m saying this on behalf of everyone. We have had
\nenough of this!” Nersisyan said.
