Armen Khachatryan, an MP from the ruling Civil Contract party, says Armenia has achieved unprecedented progress in reducing road accident fatalities.<\/p>\n
According to Khachatryan, “compared to 2023, we had 45 fewer fatalities in 2024. As of Oct. 1, 2025, there were 43 fewer deaths compared to the same period in 2024 — meaning that over the past year and nine months, we’ve had 88 fewer fatalities.”<\/p>\n
The MP stated that such statistics are unprecedented for Armenia, especially given that the number of vehicles in the country has nearly doubled in recent years. “In just the past two years alone, the number of vehicles has increased by nearly 25,000,” Khachatryan noted.<\/p>\n
He expressed gratitude to law enforcement agencies for their contribution to improving road safety, saying their work has helped reduce fatalities by 88 — in other words, save 88 lives.
