Armenia and Iran are running a construction project for a
\nnew bridge over the Araks River. Specialists are now carrying out a feasibility
\nstudy necessary for further planning of the bridge. RA Deputy Minister of
\nTerritorial Administration and Infrastructure Kristine Ghalechyan said this to
\nSputnik Armenia.

“We need to find out the technical requirements for the
\nconstruction of the new bridge. Moreover, the standards of the existing bridge
\nwill be taken into account, its design load, in particular,” Ghalechyan said.

The new bridge may be built parallel to the existing one.
\nThe deputy minister noted we should wait for the feasibility study results,
\nwhich will help determine the length, width, and load of the new bridge.
