Today, the Civil Contract (KP) faction of the National
\nAssembly terminated the powers of Taguhi Tovmasyan as the Chair of the Standing
\nCommittee on Protection of Human Rights and Public Affairs by a vote of 62 in
\nfavor and 1 against. The MP described this as “punishment.”<\/p>\n

“I left Nikol Pashinyan’s team in 2020 and said that in no
\nway I intended to share a path with those who surrendered our homeland,” Taguhi
\nTovmasyan said.<\/p>\n\n

The opposing NA Armenia alliance and With Honor faction did
\nnot participate in the debates and voting on the issue of termination of
\nTovmasyan’s powers. With Honor released a statement, saying that the process is
\nentirely political and aims to put pressure on the opposition.
