A rare 15th-century illuminated Bible, considered a masterpiece of Renaissance art, has gone on display in Rome for the Vatican’s Holy Year, Euronews<\/a> writes.<\/p>\n

The two-volume manuscript, known for its gold and lapis lazuli miniatures, is usually kept in a secure library in Modena and is rarely shown to the public.<\/p>\n

On the occasion of the Vatican’s Holy Year (a year of spiritual renewal in the Catholic Church, celebrated every 25 years), the manuscript was transported from Modena to Rome under strict security measures.<\/p>\n

It is now exhibited in a humidity-controlled case, while visitors can view high-resolution digital pages on touch screens.<\/p>\n
