U.S. Army Secretary Dan Driscoll and Chief of Staff Gen. Randy George have arrived in Ukraine on an unannounced visit, Politico<\/a> reports, citing sources.<\/p>\n

One of the reasons for the high-ranking military officials’ trip is Washington’s efforts to find ways to accelerate an end to the war with Russia.<\/p>\n

The duo are slated to meet with Ukrainian military leaders, lawmakers and President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.<\/p>\n

According to the report, U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has never visited Ukraine, making Driscoll and George the highest-ranking Pentagon officials to travel to Kyiv during the administration of President Donald Trump.<\/p>\n
