“Trump approved programs that could be aimed at preparing the battlefield for future actions,” the outlet writes.<\/p>\n

According to the report, the United States has also held secret negotiations with representatives of the Latin American country, discussing the fate of Nicolás Maduro and Washington’s access to the country’s oil.<\/p>\n

Earlier this week, Trump stated that he does not rule out any options regarding Venezuela.
