NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte has said any country in the Euro-Atlantic area that could also become a NATO member can express its desire, after which there is a certain process. Rutte added that he has no illusions about what is happening in Georgia.<\/p>\n
He noted that NATO is cooperating with Georgia, and given that, the organization, among other things, has expressed concern about the current situation.<\/p>\n
“We are very concerned and have communicated this clearly to the Georgian side. We are working with them. I believe that the cooperation itself now serves its purpose — ensuring there is a channel through which we can express our concerns. Let’s also look at the issue from a broader perspective. We see what is happening between Armenia and Azerbaijan. They are in a much better state, also thanks to measures taken by President Trump.
