Thousands of civilians along the Thailand-Cambodia border are fleeing after an escalation of violence between the two countries, the BBC<\/a> writes.<\/p>\n

A Thai military spokesman said air force jets bombed Cambodian military positions after a Thai soldier was killed in an exchange of fire along the disputed border․<\/p>\n

Clashes have been reported in Thailand’s north-eastern Si Sa Ket and Ubon Ratchathani provinces, as well as Cambodia’s northern border provinces of Preah Vihear and Oddar Meanchey․<\/p>\n
