The RA National Assembly has refused to put the bill
\ndesigned to criminalize the recognition of Artsakh as part of Azerbaijan on the
\nagenda for the plenary meeting. Fifty-seven MPs from the Civil Contract party
\nvoted against this, 26 Opposition MPs voted for.

The parliamentary Opposition accused the ruling party of not
\nfulfilling its pre-election promises regarding the Artsakh issue. In an address
\nto National Assembly President Alen Simonyan, Secretary of the NA Armenia
\nAlliance Artsvik Minasyan noted that the ruling party has not only broken its
\npre-election promise on a key national issue, but has been doing exactly the
\nopposite, thereby killing parliamentarianism in a parliamentary republic. <\/p>\n
