The motion to impose pretrial detention as a preventive measure was rejected, and house arrest was applied instead, according to Aram Vardevanyan, a member of the businessman’s legal team.<\/p>\n
“This is yet another intensive preventive measure. Notably, the restriction on Samvel Karapetyan’s public statements has been lifted. Freedom to all political prisoners,” Vardevanyan said.<\/p>\n
