Russia’s ambassador to Armenia, Sergey Kopirkin, spoke about the benefits Armenia has received as a member of the EAEU. However, he expressed doubt that the EU could guarantee the same level of economic growth for the country.<\/p>\n
“During the years when Armenia has been a full member of the EAEU, its GDP has increased 2.5 times. According to statistics, in the first ten months of last year, Armenia’s total exports amounted to $6.4 billion, of which $2.6 billion went to EAEU countries, mainly to Russia. Russia alone accounts for 37% of Armenia’s exports.
