Russia is ready to send observers to Armenia’s parliamentary elections if Yerevan decides to do so and extends an official invitation, Russian Federation Council Chairperson Valentina Matviyenko said during a meeting with Armenian National Assembly Speaker Alen Simonyan, Interfax<\/a> reports.<\/p>\n

“I believe our parliamentary dialogue will continue, as it is in the interests of both states and in the interests of our peoples,” Matviyenko said.<\/p>\n

She also pointed to the high level of trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.<\/p>\n

“About 33% of Armenia’s foreign trade turnover is with Russia. Over these years, Russian business has invested more than $4 billion in Armenia across 40 projects.
