Former US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi commented<\/a> on a post by JD Vance, saying that during her 2022 visit to Armenia, the US delegation “spoke clearly and unapologetically” about the Armenian Genocide. Her remarks addressed Vance’s deletion of a post concerning the Genocide.<\/p>\n

“When I visited Armenia as Speaker in 2022, our Congressional delegation stood at Tsitsernakaberd and spoke clearly and unapologetically about the Armenian Genocide — because truth matters,” Pelosi stated.<\/p>\n

She added that this truth had been reaffirmed when the US House of Representatives overwhelmingly passed a bipartisan resolution in 2019 recognizing the Armenian Genocide, and when “President Biden showed moral leadership by formally acknowledging it in 2021 — a position shamefully reversed by the Trump Administration.”<\/p>\n
