Since 1989, there have been valid grounds for the
\nreunification of Artsakh with Armenia. Thus, now giving it all up means closing
\nthis chapter once and for all. Former Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the
\nRA Armed Forces Tiran Khachatryan said this during today’s protest in support
\nof the Hayakve initiative outside the National Assembly.

According to him, the Hayakve initiative can never be
\nirrelevant, because in view of the policy this government is pursuing in
\nrelation to Artsakh and to its cession, it is this very initiative that leaves
\nthe issue open.

“Hayakve will help keep the Artsakh issue open so that in
\nthe future, it can be settled through negotiations or — if we have the
\nopportunity — by force,” Khachatryan noted, adding that the actions of the
\nArmenian authorities were undoubtedly aimed at ceding Artsakh.
