During the 2021 military budget discussions, the French
\nSenate Defense Committee discussed Armenia’s order for three GM200 radars
\nmanufactured by Thales Group and the supply of Mistral surface-to-air missiles.

Reference was also made to the supply of 24 units of Bastion
\narmored personnel carriers manufactured by Arquus, and another 26 units that
\nare currently in the process of production.

The meeting also discussed the war in Ukraine, and drawing
\nparallels, highlighted the importance of providing Armenia with “defensive”
\nweapons.

“Let us not repeat the same mistake, regarding the late
\ndelivery of the equipment that is of prime importance. That is why we should
\nrespond quickly to the requests of the Armenian authorities. This particularly
\nregards the need for artillery units. The speakers recommend that the supply of
\nthe CAESAR artillery system be considered as soon as possible,” the meeting
\nsaid.
