Russia believes that Armenia cannot benefit from the
\nratification of the ICC Rome Statute, thus coming under the jurisdiction of the
\nICC based in the Netherlands. Russian Ambassador to Armenia Sergey Kopirkin
\nsaid this in an interview to TASS.

“The Russian position, as it used to be, is that Armenia’s
\nratification of the Rome Statute, first of all, is not going to benefit Armenia
\nthe way that some politicians claim here. That step, in our opinion, does not
\nagree with the friendly nature of our bilateral relations, and as we told the
\nArmenian side, this decision does not encourage the cooperation between Russia
\nand Armenia,” he noted.
