The 96th Oscars shortlists have been announced. An Armenian
\nfilm has appeared on the Oscars shortlist for the first time, the National
\nCinema Center of Armenia reports.

Michael Goorjian’s “Amerikatsi” is shortlisted for the
\nInternational Feature Film category. The National Cinema Center of Armenia
\nallocated funds for the film production. Arman Nshanyan is the producer on the
\nArmenian side, the production company is the People Of Ar Productions.

The nominations for the 96th Oscars will be announced on
\nJan. 23, 2024, while the award ceremony will take place on March 10, 2024, at
\nthe Dolby Theatre at Ovation Hollywood and will be broadcast live on ABC.
