The United Nations General Assembly has adopted a resolution titled “Support for a Long-Lasting Peace in Ukraine.” During a meeting held in New York, representatives of 107 countries voted in favor of the document, which reaffirms Ukraine’s “sovereignty, independence, unity, and territorial integrity within its internationally recognized borders.”<\/p>\n
The United States abstained from the vote on the anti-Russian resolution concerning Ukraine at the UN General Assembly. Twelve countries, including Russia, Belarus, Iran, and North Korea, voted against the document prepared by Kyiv. Fifty-one states abstained, among them Armenia, Brazil, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Serbia, the United States, and Uzbekistan.<\/p>\n
