Sweden will soon join NATO, increasing the potency of the
\nalliance. U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said this in his year-end
\npress conference at the State Department.

According to Blinken, the alliance has become even broader
\nand stronger in 2023.
<\/p><\/p>\n
“This year, we added our 31st member of NATO –
\nFinland. And Sweden will join soon, bringing even greater potency and
\ncapability to our defensive alliance,” Blinken said.
<\/p><\/p>\n\n
He also noted that Russia has become weaker militarily,
\neconomically and diplomatically. According to him, the U.S. will continue to
\nrally countries around the world to support Ukraine and to exert pressure on
\nRussia.
