Meta’s smart glasses have been unknowingly recording people getting undressed, sitting on the toilet and even having sex – with the resulting footage then reviewed by data workers thousands of miles away, the Daily Mail<\/a> writes.<\/p>\n

The tech giant boasts that its Ray-Ban glasses, which have built-in camera and microphones, are a product created ‘with your privacy in mind’.<\/p>\n

They also have an AI assistant which can be activated by saying the phrase ‘Hey Meta’.<\/p>\n

But the same assistant also automatically processes data from the glasses, including speech, text, images and at times video footage, which is then sent to annotators at a third party data company.<\/p>\n

That function cannot be turned off.<\/p>\n

An investigation by Swedish newspaper Svenska Dagbladet has found that multiple workers have been able to see ‘everything’ users get up to while wearing the glasses.<\/p>\n
