Yesterday, High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs
\nand Security Policy Josep Borrell issued a statement, which said Armenia had
\nadopted the Magnitsky legislation. Later, however, the statement was edited and
\nArmenia was removed from the list.

Spokesperson for the RA Foreign Ministry Ani Badalyan gave
\nthe press clarification as to whether Armenia has joined the decision or
\nnot.

“Based on foreign policy priorities and being in partnership
\nwith the EU, Armenia considers and often joins EU statements, showing its
\nsupport and solidarity to the questions raised there. In fact, Armenia did not
\njoin the EU Council Decision 2023\/2721 of Dec. 4 concerning restrictive
\nmeasures against serious human rights violations and abuses. And this can be
\nseen in the EU Council’s statement of Dec. 17,” Ani Badalyan said.
