The Lebanese government is ready to begin bilateral negotiations with Israel to resolve the conflict, according to TASS<\/a>, Prime Minister Nawaf Salam said in an interview with Al Hadath TV.<\/p>\n

“We have lifted the ban on negotiations with the Jewish state and are now forming a delegation to engage with the Israeli side,” Salam said, adding that the agenda for upcoming meetings is being discussed.<\/p>\n

Salam confirmed that on March 19 he asked US President Donald Trump to help facilitate a ceasefire.<\/p>\n
