Germany’s president has compared Donald Trump to Vladimir Putin, saying that both had destroyed their country’s relationships with Europe, The Telegraph<\/a> writes.<\/p>\n

Frank-Walter Steinmeier issued a stinging criticism of Trump’s war in Iran and suggested there was “no going back” for the transatlantic alliance since Trump began his second term.<\/p>\n

“Just as I believe there will be no going back in relations with Russia before February 24, 2022, so too do I believe there will be ⁠no going back in transatlantic relations before January 20, 2025,” he said, alluding to Putin’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine and Mr Trump’s inauguration day.<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
