The United States must recognize Iran’s rights if it wants to reach an agreement, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Speaker of Iran’s Parliament, said upon arriving in Pakistan, according to Al Jazeera<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Ghalibaf, who heads the Iranian delegation, told reporters that they had come to Islamabad with a positive attitude, despite not trusting the United States.<\/p>\n

He also pointed to what he described as Washington’s failure to uphold commitments made during previous rounds of negotiations, accusing it of having launched a war instead.<\/p>\n
