The administration of US President Donald Trump has informed the US Congress that Cuba has sent up to 5,000 fighters to Russia to take part in the war against Ukraine, and is also providing “diplomatic and political support to Moscow”, Axios<\/a> writes, citing a State Department document.<\/p>\n

The State Department noted that the Cuban government knowingly allowed and facilitated the deployment of troops to Russia, even if it has not officially acknowledged doing so.<\/p>\n
