Russia mourns with the Armenian people on the occasion of the 111th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide in the Ottoman Empire, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova has said<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“Today we express our deepest condolences to the Armenian people and, as always, we mourn with them on this day. I would also like to remind everyone that Russia’s position is objective and consistent: there can be no justification for mass extermination based on ethnicity,” the diplomat said during a state briefing.<\/p>\n
