Responding to a journalist’s question on whether the United States had rejected Iran’s latest offer and what stage it was at, Trump said that if he does not like the first sentence of a document, he simply discards it.<\/p>\n
“What was the first sentence?” the reporter asked.<\/p>\n
“An unacceptable sentence,” Trump replied, adding that if any form of nuclear capability is mentioned in the document, he does not read any further.<\/p>\n
He also said that the US had concluded a ceasefire with Iran at the request of other nations.<\/p>\n
“I wouldn’t have really been in favor of it, but we did it as a favor to Pakistan — terrific people, the field marshal and the prime minister,” Trump stated.<\/p>\n
