The Russian armed forces have begun drills focused on the preparation and use of nuclear forces under conditions of aggression, RBK<\/a> reports, citing Russia’s defense ministry.<\/p>\n

According to the report, the exercises involve around 64,000 military personnel.<\/p>\n

The drills will continue until May 21. More than 7,800 pieces of military equipment are involved, including over 140 aircraft, 73 ships, and 13 submarines.<\/p>\n

The exercises also include the launch of ballistic and cruise missiles at Russian test ranges.<\/p>\n
