Russia’s state nuclear corporation Rosatom has offered Armenia various combined options for the construction of new nuclear energy capacities, Rosatom Director General Alexey Likhachev said<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“The issue of operating nuclear energy in Armenia after 2036 remains open. We have put forward various combined proposals involving low-capacity reactors, modular reactors, medium-capacity reactors and, of course, high-capacity gigawatt-class reactors,” he said.<\/p>\n

According to Likhachev, Rosatom understands that “within the next decade, taking into account annual electricity consumption growth of 4–5%, additional demand in Armenia will reach exactly 1 GW of total capacity.”<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
