According to Konstantin Kosachev, Deputy Speaker of the Federation Council of Russia, the preliminary results of the elections in Armenia indicate more of a defeat for Nikol Pashinyan’s party than a victory, RIA Novosti<\/a> reports.<\/p>\n

The ruling Civil Contract party, led by Pashinyan, failed to secure 50% of the vote in the country’s parliamentary elections.<\/p>\n
