US President Donald Trump said that if the United States were to bomb Iran for two to three weeks—which he says they can easily do if they want—Tehran would be left with nothing, and many people would be killed. However, he warned that the Strait of Hormuz would remain closed for months.<\/p>\n
Trump also said that through negotiations, the sides could sign a document that, in his view, would be “stronger than bombing.” He added that the United States is very close to reaching an agreement with Iran.<\/p>\n
