The World Health Organization (WHO) has said the hantavirus outbreak that struck passengers on the MV Hondius is over, the BBC<\/a> writes.<\/p>\n

Director-general Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said the final contact of a person exposed to hantavirus on the MV Hondius had completed their quarantine period, tested negative and returned home.<\/p>\n

No further cases have been reported since May 25 and the “WHO considers the hantavirus outbreak over”, he added.<\/p>\n

The hantavirus outbreak occurred aboard the MV Hondius during a journey in April–May in the Atlantic Ocean. Thirteen people were infected, and three of them died.<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
