Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has received Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan, who traveled to Tehran to attend the funeral ceremonies for Iran’s late Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, Mehr<\/a> writes.<\/p>\n

Pezeshkian thanked the Armenian authorities and the Armenian people for their condolences. He said the gesture reflected the historic friendship and mutual respect between the two countries.<\/p>\n

The Iranian president also stated that Armenia-Iran relations should develop free from external interference, based on the independent will of both countries.
