Irish actress Brenda Fricker, the first Irish performer to win an Academy Award, has died, RTÉ reports.<\/p>\n
During a career spanning several decades, Fricker appeared in around 80 films. She won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress in 1990 for her performance in My Left Foot.<\/p>\n
