Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov discussed economic, cultural, and humanitarian cooperation, the situation in the South Caucasus, and the regional 3+3 platform during talks in Moscow, Lavrov said.<\/p>\n
“We discussed the situation in the South Caucasus. We noted the renewed interest in the regional 3+3 cooperation platform,” Lavrov said, referring to the consultative format that brings together Armenia, Russia, Iran, Turkey, Georgia and Azerbaijan.<\/p>\n
Lavrov said the two sides plan to review the current state of economic cooperation, taking into account the outcomes of the 24th meeting of the Russia-Azerbaijan Intergovernmental Commission held in April, as well as prospects for cultural and humanitarian projects. The ministers are also expected to discuss cooperation within the OSCE, the UN, and the CIS.<\/p>\n
