The war will not end unless Israel wins control over the border with Egypt. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said this at a press conference in Tel Aviv.<\/span><\/p>\n

“Otherwise, we cannot eliminate Hamas, we cannot demilitarize Gaza. It is obvious that we have to close it. There are several options; we have not decided yet,” he said.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Wall Street Journal reports that Israel has informed Egypt of its plans to launch a military operation to control the Philadelphi Corridor, a 14-kilometer-long strip of land, serving as a buffer zone on the border between Egypt and Gaza.
