UEFA will boycott FIFA competitions, including the World Cup, if FIFA President Gianni Infantino goes ahead with his proposal to sell off a stake in the World Cup, Sky Sports<\/a> reports.<\/p>\n

The decision was taken at an emergency meeting of all of UEFA’s 55 member associations on Thursday afternoon, with a 55-0 vote.<\/p>\n

The publication states such a boycott could potentially derail Infantino’s initiative, as investors would be unlikely to commit funds to the tournament without the participation of European national teams.<\/p>\n
