Spain has begun installing new barriers near the Tarajal dock in the city of Ceuta amid a mass influx of undocumented migrants, the Europa Press news agency reports.<\/p>\n
The work began on the morning of Aug. 1. The structure consists of a 500-meter floating barrier standing between 30 and 70 centimeters above the water.<\/p>\n
The barrier includes a passageway for patrol boats monitoring the border area.<\/p>\n
On July 30, thousands of migrants breached the border fence to cross from Morocco into Spain, with around 60,000 people entering Ceuta.<\/p>\n
